The present proposal aims at achieving the maximum level of sustainability in a Solar-powered, energy self-sufficient, user- and environmental- friendly house in Madrid, which pays special attention to the following aspects:

- Architectonic: promote the commerciality of the industrialized housing system;
- Climate: explore the suns movement in order to exploit its entire energy;
- Energy: maximum use of passive solar technologies;
- Balance: integration of active/passive solar systems.

The concept of our scheme is based on the Chinese traditional building philosophy stressing the harmony between human, building and nature. We will put emphasis on the selection and integration of appropriate techniques which are effective, cheap and easy to handle. Advanced technology is applied when it can largely improve the overall energy and environmental performance of the building. Aesthetic aspect of the architecture is another key concern of the scheme based on our prolonged study and practice on building integrated solar technology.
